The Mountain Trust did construct orphanages in the early stages but soon concluded that 'orphans' in Nepal may well have parents but happen to have been born outside marriage and that constructing buildings did little to help their education or welfare more generally. We did provide a cow for the students' milk, sports equipment and uniforms etc.
