Objectives

Knitting Volunteers

Medical exchanges with Manipal Teaching HospitalThe residents of Featherton House decided that they wanted to make a difference to their cousins in Nepal - and they happened to be expert knitters.

So they set about knitting scarves and blankets for shipping to Nepal and giving to the most marginalised parts of Nepali society - the river beds communities. They have provided woolens and shoes for these hard hit people over 3,000 miles away,

One of the residents is 105 years old and has a macular disorder. It is hard to express just how elated the Trustees and recipients feel when they think about the selflessness of our 'Knitting Squad'. We are very proud of their magnificent contribution to bettering the lives of others less careful in choosing their parents than they!
