Masters Thesis

In 2006, the Mountain Trust agreed to sponsor the field research of Prabodh Raj Regmi, a Master's Student at Tribhuvan University. His thesis was on how and why Western tourists arriving in Nepal on holiday decide to volunteer to help Nepal through the NGO / INGO sectors. We felt that his findings would not only help the Mountain Trust but could be of use to many other (I)NGOs active in Nepal. A part of the agreement from the outset was that we'd have permission to publish and publicise the results of Prabodh's research to a wider community - and we're delighted to publish his final thesis here:
