The Mountain Trust Ball

This Mountain Trust fundraiser promises to be a memorable event. It includes sets by the Cambridge Classic String Quartet, live music and dance with 'Easy Livin' and an eminent member of the Magic Circle. There is a three course sit down dinner and bar, an exhibition and film - and an auction of prizes ranging from a flying lesson or day in a Porsche 911, a Mercedes CLS or an Aston Martin to holidays in Norfolk, the Dordogne and even a trip for two for a fortnight to Nepal (flights and accommodation included). Smart dress and bopping are encouraged!
You can send sealed bids for items being auctioned if you are not attanding. A cheque for your bid should be sent with contact details on the reverse as well as the item you are bidding for and sent / handed to the Mountain Trust. 20a High Green, Great Shelford, Cambridge, CB22 5EG. If you'd prefer us to return your cheque if the bid is unsuccessful, please indicate the preference - otherwise we will shred cheques for unsuccessful bids.
The Mountain Trust Fundraiser is designed to raise awareness in the UK and to raise funds for people suffering the harshest economic, educational and other odds in Nepal.
The Trust specialisies in pioneering educational and health interventions.
It supports around 100 students pursuing their education (primary, secondary & tertiary levels) and broadcasts top quality secondary lessons via satellite FM radio across the Mid-Western region of Nepal.
Radio Guru as the project is known is being covered by the University of Cambridge Humanitarian Centre's ICT4D Report on Innovations in International Development. It has previously been covered in the Nepali press.
